JOB OPENING : FIELD ENGINEER
	DUTIES : Ensure that project mechanics run smoothly and that the Company’s engineering designs are being followed. Direct crews or workers on site, conduct research, and report on project status. Perform line and grade work for building layout and control as required. Assist in the implementation of the site safety program as required. Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations. Assist in the maintenance of contract documents and electronic web-based documents for field operations. Assist in the preparation of Daily Construction Reports (DCR’s). Review all work as it is being placed to ensure accuracy figures fall within accepted tolerances. Review contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure proper coordination and installation. Evaluate and recommend appropriate building and construction materials. Report Project status to the client to determine needs and explain complex issues. Conduct research, resolve issues that may arise. Assist in the preparation of project as-builts. Draft and submit reports. Established, monitor, maintain and update work schedules. Conduct feasibilities studies, economic analyses, municipal and regional traffic studies, environmental impact studies or other investigations that may impact the project to prevent delays.
	MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 1 year of experience in civil engineering and construction. Experience must include: management of construction crews at multiple jobsites; management of structural and earthworks projects including planning, organization, budgeting, safety, material procurement, quality control, survey evaluation, and environmental compliance. 80% domestic travel required.
	JOB LOCATION : 7330 San Pedro Ave., Ste. 403, San Antonio, Texas 78216. 40-hour work week (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Monday to Friday.
